Terms of service
Last updated 29 October 2026.
These terms cover your use of ropeline.io and the Ropeline service. By using the site or signing up for a plan, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may do so.
Who you are dealing with
Ropeline Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17544760. Registered office: 143 Eastfield Road, Peterborough, United Kingdom, PE1 4AU. You can reach us at admin@ropeline.io.
What Ropeline does
Ropeline gives you a hosted access page with tiered doors. Visitors reach a public tier freely, unlock a second tier by giving their name and email, and request a third tier that you approve or decline. Contact details collected through your doors are logged and delivered to you.
Ropeline is in early access. Features change, and some of what is described on the front door is still being built. We will tell you before we remove something you are relying on.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login and for keeping it secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Plans, prices and VAT
Current prices are shown on the front door. Ropeline Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on these prices. If registration becomes required, prices will be updated and VAT shown separately. Subscription plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Per-show and per-event packages are billed on booking. Founding rates, where offered, are honoured for as long as the plan runs continuously.
Cancelling
You can cancel a subscription at any time, and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods unless the law requires it or we have failed to provide the service. If you are a consumer buying online, you have 14 days from the start to change your mind; by asking us to start straight away you accept that you may be charged for what you have used in that period.
We can suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, to send unsolicited mail, or to collect contact details under false pretences.
The data your doors collect
Contact details your visitors give you are yours. You decide what to do with them, and you are the one responsible for having a lawful basis to contact them and for honouring their requests. We handle that data on your behalf, under the terms of our privacy notice. We do not sell it or use it to market to your visitors.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any door will produce leads. We are responsible for loss we cause by failing to meet these terms where that loss is a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or lost data beyond that. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms, and will post the new version here with the date above. Material changes are emailed to account holders. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
